Beacon's Culture
For thousand of years, early civilization lit
bonfires on hilltops/cliffs and maintained throughout
the night, these bonfires were used as beacons,
thus provide a guiding light to the earliest travelers
that use the oceans and seas as a form of transportation
--- for trading, exploration or begin life on
some distant shores.
Beacons has played an important part in providing
guidance to seafarers who braved the overwhelming
power of the sea to ensure the safe passage to
harbors. Today, these historical lighthouses,
besides being used as a navigation tools, have
been icons of safety and hope. |
